Upper Fraser & Nechako Basins

The Upper Fraser received significant additional snow accumulation during April, and currently has one of the largest snowpacks recorded since measurements began in 1953. The record snowpacks in the Nechako produce a high likelihood of flooding. There is potential for flooding to be exacerbated by the extensive Mountain Pine Beetle infestation throughout the Nechako basin.
